Congratulations, guys! This game was a great success and we wanna thank everyone for playing, and who knows, maybe you could be the next Gay Bachelor!

What are you hoping to do while in New York?

There’s a lot to see, I know, and I’ll have to make a lot of tough choices in that respect.  I truly want to “feel” the real vibe of the city, though, rather than just seeing a bunch of tourist spots.  I want to be a part of the electricity in the air that I know will be present.  I want to take it in as if it is all that exists in the world, for just a few days.

What do you hope to happen in result from the weekend?

I am already certain that I will take away with me memories and perhaps inspiration for some new music!  Beyond that, I know that I will meet some people who will be a part of my life from that point forward.  It is these connections that are truly the most amazing thing about travel.

How have your friends and family responded about you winning The Gay Bachelor?

They are very excited!  My friends are thrilled, of course.  My mother has told a lot of people, which makes me realize even more how supportive my family has been every step of the way.

Are there any specific things that would make this weekend a “dream weekend” for you?

A “dream weekend” for me would be one that I am still hopeful enough in this life to believe possible:  My date and I would have an amazing time, and we would know there would be more times together.

Has The Gay Bachelor made you more confident or made you look at the dating scene differently since winning?

I have become more confident, yes.  I have gained such confidence by choosing to have it, though; the contest only presents an opportunity.  I am learning a lot about myself, as my experiences with people have run the gamut from upsetting to downright beautiful.  What I see differently now is an important notion for me:  I know I am not perfect, but I can show up in someone’s life “as is” and still have the courage to make great strides toward becoming stronger on the inside.  When I see this in someone else, it is something that I admire greatly.  I would want that in a partner.

I believe Sammy should pick me because he sounds like an intriguing, intelligent, handsome, and fun guy.  I think we have a good deal in common.

I look forward to getting to know him and having a great together time in the Big Apple.

I should be The Gay Bachelor because I am fabulis, fierce, and I own it.  I’m handsome and witty and I am the perfect representative for the brand.

What do you look for in other guys? 
Good looks (I admit it), great communication…someone who is caring and sensitive…masculine but not afraid of his feminine side either.  I love a guy with a great sense of humor, good sense of style, and who knows how to have fun.

What is your idea of a dream first date?

A romantic dinner together with enthralling conversation, followed by a walk together (maybe in a park).  Then out to a coffeeshop or lounge for some more quiet, getting-to-know-you time.
